Upton-upon-Severn - High Street and Old Street improvement works

The improvement works are nearing completion with the resurfacing of the carriageway left to complete the improvements. This will be carried out over two weeks, this Sunday 14th April, 2013 and next Sunday 21st April, 2013.

The resurfacing will be carried out under a road closure, due to the nature of the work and the width of the roads. Sunday 14/04/2013 closure of High Street and Old Street to lay wearing course and replace the lining in Old Street and the Bus Stop and disabled parking in High Street.
Sunday 21/04/2013 closure of High Street to complete the surfacing work and lining on adjacent road junctions to High Street.

The local carpenter has been unexpectedly delayed this week but will be starting work repairing the damage to wooden fascia panels later this week.

The plane out and laying of the binder course at the start of the High Street to Back Fields at the bottom end of Old Street went to schedule yesterday.

There are now two Sundays work to complete the improvement works.   This will be carried out under a road closure, due to the nature of the work and the width of the roads. The work is being carried out on Sundays only and the road will be open at all other times.
