Upton-upon-Severn - High Street and Old Street improvement works

The carriageway surface course was laid on Old Street on Sunday 21st April, 2013 with road markings put in place.

This week the local carpenter is continuing repairs on various shop front facia's etc.

We expect this work to take the rest of this week.  There are also outstanding remedial works to be undertaken shortly.

Yesterday, the carriageway surface course was laid on Lower High Street and High Street in Upton; sections of the roadmarking was also relaid. On Sunday 21st April, the carriageway surface course will be laid on Old Street plus roadmarking will be undertaken.

The resurfacing that is due to take place this Sunday 14th April, 2013 will be carried out under a road closure. We will close the High Street and Old Street to lay the wearing course to the road surface and replace the lining in Old Street , the Bus Stop and disabled parking in High Street.

To avoid congestion in "Minge Lane" two "no through" road signs will be put in place. The local carpenter will also start work repairing the damage to wooden fascia panels.

The plane out and laying of the binder course at the start of the High Street to Back Fields at the bottom end of Old Street went to schedule yesterday.
